U.S. Stocks Fell In Response To The Latest U.S. Inflation Data, Large HK Technology Stocks Fell

U.S. Stocks 

Fundamental Analysis: 

The latest U.S. inflation data showed that the consumer price index rose 8.5% in March from a year earlier, the highest level since 1981.

The U.S. stocks fell in response last night, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.26%, the S&P 500 down 0.34% and the Nasdaq Composite down 0.30%.

Factors such as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the closure of factories in Asia due to the Covid-19 outbreak and a shortage of semiconductor chips contributed to some extent to the market’s poor performance.

Technical Analysis: 

(Dow 30, 1-hour chart) 

Execution Insight: 

The Dow focuses on the 34477-line today. If the Dow runs stably above the 34477-line, it will pay attention to the repression strength of the 34724 and 34990 positions. If the Dow index breaks below the 34477-line, it will pay attention to the support strength of the 34221 and 33811 positions.

Hong Kong Stocks 

Fundamental Analysis: 

Hong Kong stocks opened lower, the Hang Seng Index (HSI) fell 0.59%, the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (HSCEI) fell 0.42%, the Hang Seng TECH Index (HSTECH) fell 0.86%.

On the market, most of the large technology stocks were lower, Bilibili Inc. (9626.HK) fell more than 8%, NetEase, Inc. (9999.HK) fell 3%, Meituan (3690.HK) fell 2.47%, while Kuaishou Technology (1024.HK), Alibaba Group Holding Limited (9988.HK), Baidu, Inc. (9888.HK), etc. were down.

Sporting goods stocks, and automobile stocks led the decline, with XPeng Inc. (9868.HK) falling by nearly 4%. Meanwhile, cell phone concept stocks, power stocks, and heavy infrastructure stocks generally fell.

On the other hand, the mandatory national standards for e-cigarettes have been implemented since October. With this, e-cigarette concept stocks opened higher, with China Boton Group Company Limited (3318.HK) rose more than 4%, Smoore International Holdings Limited (6969.HK) rose 2.47%, China Tobacco International (HK) Company Limited (6055.HK) rose 1.5%.

Technical Analysis: 

(HK50, 1-hour chart) 

Execution Insight: 

HK50 Index focuses on the 22127-line today. If HK50 can run stably below the 22127-line, then pay attention to the support strength of 21450 and 20467. If HK50 runs above the 22127-line, then pay attention to the suppression strength of 22785 and 23294.

FTSE China A50 Index 

Technical Analysis: 

(FTSE China A50, 1-hour chart) 

Execution Insight: 

FTSE China A50 pays attention to the 13983-line today. If the A50 runs steadily below the 13983-line, pay attention to the support strength of the two positions of 13157 and 12733. If the A50 runs above the 13983-line, it will open up further upward space. At that time, pay attention to the suppression of the 14669-line.
